Young Forum on Legal Philosophy (JFR)

The Young Forum on Legal Philosophy (JFR) is the association of young German-speaking scholars from the fields of legal and social philosophy, legal theory and sociology of law. It was founded in the early 1990s and is closely linked to the German section of the International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR), founded in 1909. However, the JFR is supranational.

The JFR serves the exchange and contact among young scholars in the field of philosophy of law. To this end, the JFR organizes annual conferences at which the research projects of its members can be presented and discussed in an interested and informed circle. Membership of the JFR is free of charge.

In addition to its annual conferences, the JFR always offers up-to-date information on its activities and all aspects of legal philosophy in its newsletter, in which it regularly reports upon these. If you would like to be added to the JFR's e-mail distribution list, please send a short message to Prof. Dr. Markus Abraham (University of Hamburg).
